Course Overview
In surveys conducted by Baylor College of Medicine (BCM)
among pediatricians attending symposia sponsored by BCM, respondents
have expressed a need to be kept updated on innovations, discoveries,
and changes in the approach to diagnosis, care, and management
of pediatric patients. The 2000-2001 educational objectives
of the American Academy of Pediatrics specifically list topic
areas in which pediatricians should have current knowledge.
The presentation in this activity addresses the strategies
for conducting a successful adolescent patient interview.
These presentations were developed from the proceedings of
the 24th Annual Pediatric Postgraduate Symposium, held on
April 25-27, 2002, in Houston, Texas.
